Heading towards El Chalten on route 23: For nearly 100 km alongside Lago Viedma this road offers a fantastic panoramic view of two of the most famous mountains of the Andes: Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy. Rarely there are no clouds!
Turely iconic, the 3’128 m high Cerro Torre and the 3’359 m high Mount Fitz Roy.
Good 250 km south back in Chile is the Torres del Paine National Park. Cerro Paine Grande and the Torres del Paine are probably the most iconic mountains in that region.
