Vestrahorn, Iceland

It is a really special place there in the southeast of Iceland. The Vestrahorn a 8-11 million years old mountain rises up good 450 meter out of the sea over a black lava sand beach.

To support the mystic atmosphere I took this shot with a 14 mm lens with its typical optic: It seems that the Vestrahorn makes the clouds shine.

The shot nicely conveys the rough climate in January. Here a shot in summer time.
