Jökulsarlon Glacier Lagoon in winter

Rarely there are no clounds at all at the Glacier Lagoon in Iceland. Below is a full 180 degree panoramic view composed of 5 landscpae shots showing on the very left the barrier of the lagoon towards the ocean, then the highest mountain in Iceland called Hvannadalshnúkur (2’110 m or 6’920 ft).

Towards the right is the brim were the melting ice of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier tounge of the Vatnajökull glaicer falls into the lagoon. The brim is good 7 km away and for me it was the first time that I could see it so clearly. Further down I added a tele shot (300 mm) showing this magnificant spot.

Just one day later the scenerey changed completely to the more mystic icelandic setting. I always experience this as a very peaceful atmosphere.
