
Everyday roughly 15’000 vehicles travel through the Gotthard Road Tunnel1 which connects the north side of the Swiss Alps with the south. Most of them just pass the little town Prato Leventina on the south side missing out on a little gem.
It would be worth stopping for little break and a pretty cool cable car ride. In a couple of minutes and after 900m steep ascent the Teleferic Tremorgio reaches an enchanting spot: Lago Tremorgio a dark blue mountain lake that looks like being implanted into the surrounding mountain landscape.
