The most dominant mountains of the Alps: #4 – Dufourspitze

The Dufourspitze (Dominance 78 km – Height 4’634 m) in the canton Valais is the highest summit in Switzerland and belongs to the Monte-Rosa-Massif which is located along the Swiss-Italian border. (This is why the Dom is the highest mountain entirely on Swiss territory.)

The shot below shows the summit while the shot above shows the Monte-Rosa-Massif with the Gorner- and Grenz-Glaciers. All shots have been taken from the Gornergrat.
